Mettaford Farm - Bay Cottage

Bay Cottage sits on a small farm site near Hartland, on Devon's north coast, and sleeps four across two bedrooms. External stone steps lead into an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with views over the garden and surrounding countryside, fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Stairs lead down to a lower ground floor holding the double and twin bedrooms and a single shower room.

Outside there is an enclosed lawned garden with furniture and a charcoal barbecue. As part of a small complex of properties, guests can also use a shared indoor heated pool, open in set morning and evening slots, along with a sauna and hot tub that need booking in advance. A shared games room next to the pool has table tennis, darts, a pool table, a large TV and a stock of books and games.

A shared laundry room with coin-operated washing machines and a tumble dryer is available on site, and there is ample parking. Electric vehicle charging is provided on site, paid per kW used at the end of the stay, using a UK three-pin to Type 1 or Type 2 cable that guests must bring themselves. A gated 2.5-acre paddock and further open fields on site can be used for exercise, though dogs are not permitted to stay at the property.

A travel cot and highchair are available for younger visitors, and towels are included in the stay. The nearest beach is around four miles away, with a shop and pub roughly two miles distant. The property is decorated for Christmas during the festive season.
