Ixworth Cottage

Ixworth Cottage is a barn conversion set on a small holding at Little Woodford, just outside Ottery St Mary. The smallholding is home to a range of animals, and depending on the season guests may see pygmy goats, sheep, pigs and chickens around the grounds, with an owner's shop on site selling jams, preserves, cured meats and honey.

The open-plan living space holds the kitchen, dining and sitting areas, with a dining table seating four for meals together. Two bedrooms can each be set up as super-king-size, one a dedicated super-king room and the other a zip/link twin, sharing a bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin and WC, plus a separate cloakroom with basin and WC.

The kitchen has a convection oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, and there's a Smart TV and WiFi in the living space. Oil central heating covers the cottage, and a highchair and travel cot are available for younger guests staying with the family.

Ixworth Cottage takes two well-behaved dogs, and can also be booked together with the neighbouring Bantam Cottage, sleeping eight in total. Parking is provided for up to 4 cars, and an enclosed rear patio with a gravelled area, furniture and a barbecue gives space to eat outside. From June to the end of September only weekly bookings starting on a Saturday are accepted, and smoking is not permitted.
