Broadclyst Cottage

Broadclyst Cottage sits at Lower Southbrook Farm in the Devon countryside near Rockbeare, with Ottery St Mary around 5.5 miles away. One of two single-storey cottages next to the owner's farmhouse, it sleeps 4 across two ground-floor bedrooms and shares an outdoor heated swimming pool with its twin cottage.

Both bedrooms are on the ground floor: one has a king-size double bed that converts to a zip-link twin, with a vanity unit, and the other holds a set of bunk beds suited to children. A shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC serves the cottage, and a compact kitchen opens onto a good-sized dining and sitting room with a TV and DVD player.

Guests share use of the outdoor heated swimming pool from May to the end of August, along with an outside area for children to play. A small private lawned garden and patio with furniture lie off the sitting room's patio doors, and central heating, WiFi and a washing machine cover the practical side, with a cot and highchair available on request.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, and off-road parking is provided for two cars. The cottage is no smoking throughout. The nearest shop is 1.8 miles away and the nearest pub 0.8 miles, with the village of Rockbeare under a mile off and a wider choice of shops and pubs at Whimple around three miles away.
