Ivy Cottage

Ivy Cottage sits at Great Houndbeare Farm on the edge of Aylesbeare, one of six cottages arranged around a shared courtyard within 100 acres of woodland and farmland. Underfloor heating and exposed ceiling beams run through the open-plan living space, and the cottage sleeps 6 across three en-suite bedrooms.

On the ground floor, a twin bedroom has its own en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC, handy for children or friends travelling together. Upstairs, two further double bedrooms each have their own en-suite, one with a walk-in shower and the other with a bath and shower over, giving each pair of guests their own facilities. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, a microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker, and the dining table seats six for group meals. A Smart TV and WiFi cover evenings in.

Outside, an enclosed rear patio has furniture and a barbecue for al fresco meals, looking onto the countryside setting around the farm. A shared external games room, used by all six cottages, has a snooker table and table football for a change of pace after a day out. Off-road parking is in the large communal car park serving the whole site.

Ivy Cottage takes two well-behaved dogs. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property, and the cottage does not accept one-night bookings. The nearest shop is 2.1 miles away and the nearest pub is 3.6 miles, with the coast at Sidmouth and Exmouth within a short drive.
