Oak Cottage

Oak Cottage is one of six cottages set around a courtyard at Great Houndbeare Farm, near Aylesbeare. An open-plan living space greets you on arrival, with a dining table seating four and a Smart TV in the sitting area for evenings in.

The cottage sleeps 4 across a double bedroom with an en-suite bath and shower over, and a twin bedroom with its own en-suite walk-in shower. A third, ground-floor shower room with a walk-in shower and WC adds further convenience for the whole party.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and coffee maker. Outside, an enclosed rear patio comes with furniture and a barbecue, and guests share an external games room fitted with a snooker table and table football with the other five cottages on site. Biomass heating with solar panels serves the whole cottage, and underfloor heating runs through the ground floor.

Parking is in a large communal car park shared between all six cottages, set within 100 acres of woodland and countryside around Great Houndbeare Farm. No pets and no smoking are allowed, and the property does not accept one-night bookings. A shop is just over 2 miles away, with a pub around 3.6 miles, and a range of village pubs and farm shops sit within easy reach for evenings out.
