Hillside Cottage

Hillside Cottage is a period, detached cottage on the edge of the village of Uplyme, with far-reaching countryside views. It sleeps six across three bedrooms: a king-size room with its own en-suite shower cubicle, a twin room and a single with a pull-out truckle bed suitable for a child, plus a separate ground-floor shower room and a first-floor family bathroom with a bath.

The cottage has been refurbished to keep its character features, with a sitting room built around a wood burning stove, a separate snug for quiet reading, and a farmhouse-style kitchen/diner leading into a sunroom with doors onto the decking. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, and electric heating covers the cottage with fuel and power included in the rent.

Outside, a raised decking area with furniture looks across the valley, with steps down to a lawned garden with mature planting. WiFi at the cottage runs on a limited monthly data allowance and once used up cannot be topped up, so a connection is not guaranteed throughout a stay.

Up to two dogs are accepted. Off-road parking is provided for 2 cars, and the nearest shop is about a mile away with a pub 1.2 miles further. Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage.
