28 Barnes Meadow

28 Barnes Meadow is a four-bedroom cottage in Uplyme, clad in slate and local stone with yellow paint and wooden double doors. It sleeps 6, with off-road parking for 2 cars, and the layout runs over two floors linked by stairs, so stairgates may be needed for young children.

Downstairs holds a kitchen, a utility room, a dining room, a sitting room and a separate snug with an electric fire and books for quiet reading. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a dishwasher, and French windows from the dining room open onto the garden.

Upstairs, a king-size bedroom has its own en-suite shower room, and there's a double with sloping ceilings and countryside views, plus two single bedrooms, all served by a family bathroom with a bath and a walk-in shower, plus a separate WC. The beds have feather bedding, worth noting for anyone with allergies.

Outside, an enclosed rear garden has a lawn, a patio and a raised decking area with countryside views. 28 Barnes Meadow is pet-friendly (confirm how many when booking), and smoking is not permitted. The shop is 0.4 miles away and the pub 0.2 miles, with Lyme Regis around a mile further for eateries and the harbour.
