Barn conversion near Bradworthy with a wood-fired hot tub
Higher Forda is a barn conversion set about 2 miles from the village of Bradworthy, on the Devon/Cornwall border. The open-plan living area holds the kitchen, a dining table and a sitting area with patio doors to the garden, with a snug one step down and a ground-floor double bedroom one step up. The barn sleeps 8 across four bedrooms.
Three more bedrooms are on the first floor: two twins, one with an en-suite walk-in shower and the other with an en-suite cloakroom, and a double with an en-suite walk-in shower. Each bedroom has its own TV, and there is a separate wet room with a walk-in shower downstairs. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and coffee machine, and electric central heating covers the whole barn.
Outside, a children's play area with swings and a slide sits alongside a large patio with seating and a barbecue, a spacious lawn and a wood-fired hot tub. Off-road parking is provided for 3 cars, and two travel cots and a highchair are available on request.
There are several steps between rooms on the ground floor. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and smoking is not permitted. Bookings run weekly from a Friday. The pub is 2.1 miles away and the shop 2 miles, both a short drive from the barn.
