Harley's Hideaway

Harley's Hideaway is a new two-bedroom, semi-detached house on the tranquil outskirts of Appledore, on the north Devon coast where the Taw and Torridge estuaries meet. It sleeps 4 across a king-size master bedroom and a twin room, with a family bathroom that has a bath, shower over, basin and WC, plus a separate downstairs cloakroom.

Downstairs, a light-filled living/dining room has French doors onto a south-facing, enclosed rear garden with a lawn, patio and furniture. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, integrated fridge/freezer and washing machine, and there's a TV, sound bar and WiFi. Gas central heating covers the house, with fuel, power, bed linen and towels included in the rent.

Off-road parking is provided for 2 cars on the adjoining driveway. Two small dogs or one medium dog are accepted, and the property is no smoking. The shop is 0.3 miles away, the pub 0.9 miles, the beach 1.3 miles and the river 1.1 miles. A foot ferry crosses the estuary to the village of Instow, and the dog-friendly beaches at Westward Ho! and Greysands are a walk away along the coast path.

Appledore itself is a working fishing and boat-building village with a quay, narrow cobbled streets, and a mix of pubs, galleries and local shops, including the Appledore Crafts Company. Bideford, with its medieval bridge and market, is about 4 miles away, and the Tarka Trail for walking and cycling runs nearby.
