Harbour Lights

Harbour Lights is a detached 1930s house in an elevated spot at the entrance to Cockington Valley, in Torquay. It sleeps eight and has a self-contained apartment on the ground floor, joined to the main house by a staircase. The view takes in Cockington Valley, Torbay and the sea.

The house is reached by a steep driveway, with ample off-road parking at the top. Inside are an arched hallway and two sitting rooms: one with a bay window and a Playstation 3, the other with a woodburning stove and large windows over Torbay. The kitchen has a Rangemaster range cooker with a six-ring gas hob, an American-style fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. There is a dining room, a conservatory and WiFi.

Upstairs are three bedrooms, each with its own TV: a king-size with a balcony and sea views, a second king-size with a bay window, and a twin with an en-suite shower room. The family bathroom has a freestanding bath and a separate walk-in shower. The ground-floor apartment has an open-plan living space, a king-size bedroom and a shower room with a walk-in shower, and its patio doors open onto an enclosed south-facing patio.

The rear garden is an enclosed lawn and patio, and a side patio adds more outdoor space. Bed linen, towels, fuel and power are included. The shop is 0.5 miles away, the pub 0.8 miles and the beach 0.4 miles.

Pets are not allowed and the house is strictly non-smoking.
