Glendale Cottage

Set in Fairy Cross near Bideford, Glendale Cottage is a whitewashed stone longhouse sleeping five across three first-floor bedrooms: a king-size double, a bunk room and a single. One bathroom with a bath and shower over serves all three rooms. The lower ground floor kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine, and a tumble dryer sits in a utility room opposite the house.

The lounge and dining area runs longhouse-style, with two zones divided by a small internal flight of steps. Comfy seating, a Smart TV and a wood burner with a first basket of logs supplied make the lower lounge a practical retreat on cooler evenings. Up the steps, a sturdy wooden dining table with bench seating handles family mealtimes easily.

Outside, the private side garden has a lawn, furnished patio with a charcoal BBQ and a five-seat jacuzzi hot tub, new for 2026. The garden is attached to the owner's home but arranged to give guests their own space. A separate games barn adds further flexibility, with an L-shaped sofa, Smart TV, pool table, darts board and a selection of games. Private parking for two cars is provided. One dog is welcome, though additional charges may apply.

Peppercombe Beach is around 2.5 miles away, with the South West Coast Path accessible roughly 2 miles from the cottage. A shop, pub and restaurant are about 2 miles distant. Travel cot and highchair are available on request. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
