Gelding Cottage

Gelding Cottage sits at Harracott, near Barnstaple, and sleeps four across two bedrooms. Guests reach the open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner by crossing a small bridge over a man-made stream, with the kitchen equipped for everyday cooking and the lounge fitted with a Smart TV for quieter evenings.

The bedrooms comprise a king-size room and a zip-and-link twin with 2'6" beds, which can be converted to a king-size on request at the time of booking. A single family bathroom serves the property, with a shower over the bath and a separate WC.

Outside, an enclosed rear courtyard with seating gives direct access to a large, enclosed dog walking field, useful for anyone travelling with a dog rather than relying on public paths. Shared gardens with a fishpond and a shared gazebo with tables, chairs and lighting are also available, though children and pets need supervision around the pond. One dog is permitted, with additional charges possibly applying. Allocated parking is provided for one car.

This is one of four properties on the site, and it can be booked together with others sleeping a further twelve guests for larger groups travelling separately. A travel cot and highchair can be requested ahead of arrival. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure is before 10:00, with a pub within around two miles and shops a little further out.
