Austen Cottage - Swanmoor Grange

Austen Cottage sits on a working farm near Harracott, reached along a narrow country lane that calls for careful driving on arrival. The setting suits couples or small families wanting a quiet base, with the surrounding farmland open to guests for walking.

Inside, an open-plan living area forms the heart of the cottage, with a lounge centred on a Smart TV and a pebble-effect electric fire, plus a dining table and a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher and washer/dryer. Upstairs, two bedrooms sleep up to four guests: one has a king-size bed and its own en-suite bathroom with a WC, while the second has a super-king zip-and-link bed, convertible to twins on request, with an en-suite shower room and WC.

Outside, a private hot tub sits within its own enclosure, designed for use whatever the weather. An enclosed courtyard garden holds outdoor furniture and a charcoal barbecue, and a second, separate enclosed courtyard opens off the living area. Off-road parking is provided for two cars.

Dogs are welcome, with space for up to two, and a fully fenced dog exercise paddock lies less than 100 yards from the cottage door. The wider farm offers river-edge and woodland walking trails alongside wildflower meadows. The nearest pub is roughly 2.5 miles away, with a shop around 8 miles off and the coast about 12 miles distant. Standard check-in runs from 4pm, with departure required by 10am.
