Fox Tor

Fox Tor is a three-bedroom lodge sleeping six on a five-star estate in North Bovey, within Dartmoor National Park. The open-plan ground floor brings together a lounge, kitchen and dining area, warmed by a gas flame-effect fire, alongside a smart TV and a fully equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine. A utility room with washer-dryer and a separate WC complete the ground floor.

The king-size bedroom on the upper floor has an en-suite bathroom with separate bath, shower and WC. On the middle floor, one super-king room (configurable as twin) has a matching en-suite with bath and separate shower, while the second super-king room has an en-suite shower room with WC only; this room opens through double doors onto the rear decked patio with outdoor seating. The BBQ area is available April to October at an additional charge of £30 for up to three days or £50 for four to seven days. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request. Three dogs are welcome provided they are at least six months old; additional dog charges may apply.

Estate facilities included in the stay cover an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, whirlpool, gym, tennis courts, pétanque, croquet and a children's play area with swings and climbing frames. Two restaurants and a bar serve the estate, although hotel private functions can reduce their availability to lodge guests, and dining hours are restricted over Christmas and New Year. Bookable extras at additional cost include the 18-hole golf course, archery, fly fishing, clay pigeon shooting, Elan spa treatments and a 4x4 driving experience.

Two unallocated private parking spaces are provided on-site, and electric vehicle charging is available. Golf buggies can be hired to explore the grounds. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure by 10:00.
