Cox Tor

Cox Tor is a three-storey lodge on an estate near North Bovey, close to Bovey Tracey on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. The property sleeps six across three bedrooms and is entered from the front via a balcony leading into an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining room, with a WC just inside the door.

The top-floor bedroom has a super-king bed and an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower over and WC. Downstairs, past a utility room fitted with a washer/dryer, two further bedrooms each have super-king zip-and-link beds that can be set up as twins on request, each with its own door out to a small terrace; one of these bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, the other an en-suite shower room. The open-plan living area has oak beams, a gas flame-effect fire and a Smart TV, and the dining table seats six, with doors opening onto the balcony.

Outside there's a decked balcony terrace on the middle floor and a rear patio with outdoor seating. A barbecue area is available from April to October, with a charge payable directly to the owner. Parking on-site is unallocated for two cars, and electric vehicle charging is available. The kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and the usual appliances, and a travel cot, stairgate and highchair can be requested.

As part of the wider estate, guests can use the indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym and tennis courts, along with two restaurants and a bar, though these can occasionally be affected by private functions held in the hotel's own lounges and restaurants. Further activities such as the golf course, archery and clay pigeon shooting can be booked separately and carry additional charges. Up to three dogs are welcome, provided they are six months or older, with additional charges possibly applying.
