Fern Cottage - Lynton

Fern Cottage sits in the heart of Lynton, a cliff-top town perched above the seaside village of Lynmouth on the North Devon coast. The cottage sleeps two in a double bedroom fitted with an en-suite walk-in shower room and WC, and off-road parking for one car is included. Two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply.

The open-plan kitchen and lounge is practical and comfortable, with an electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave, and a Smart TV. French doors open from the lounge onto a patio with outdoor seating and a wooden bench, giving two areas to sit outside. A charcoal BBQ is provided for cooking on warm evenings, and a pub and shops are within 100 metres of the front door.

Lynton is a walkable town with tearooms, restaurants and a 68-seat cinema nearby. The water-powered funicular railway descends to Lynmouth, where independent shops, art galleries and a riverside path through ancient woodland lead to Watersmeet. The Valley of the Rocks is reachable on foot along the cliff walk from the town.

Woolacombe and Croyde, both known for sandy beaches and surfing, are within 24 miles and suit a full day out. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00, so the schedule is worth factoring into travel plans.
