Farriers Retreat

Farriers Retreat is an all-ground-floor, level-access apartment in the village of Knowle, on the edge of Budleigh Salterton in the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It sleeps 2 in an open-plan studio with a king-size bed, sitting area and one shower room, making it a compact escape for a couple.

The kitchen has an electric oven and induction hob, microwave and a fridge with a freezer compartment, with a marble floor and an orangery-style glass roof letting in natural light. A private entrance has room to store two bicycles or a mobility scooter. Underfloor central heating covers the apartment, and there's a Smart TV and WiFi in the sitting area.

Double french doors lead out to a secluded, private lawned garden with a bench and seating, overlooking a paddock where horses graze next door and birds including woodpeckers and pheasants visit. Travel cot and highchair are both available for younger guests, and a shower room has a walk-in shower, basin, shaver point and WC.

Two well-behaved pets are welcome. Parking is on the roadside, and smoking is not permitted. The shop is 1.4 miles away, the pub 0.2 miles, and the beach around 2.1 miles, with Budleigh Salterton's high street a short stroll from the door.
