Ecila

Ecila is a single-storey bungalow close to Salcombe, sleeping up to five guests across three bedrooms. The entrance is reached via a series of steps, after which the accommodation sits entirely on one level. Two double bedrooms and a single room that converts to a truckle bed on request make up the sleeping spaces, served by a tiled bathroom with shower over the bath and a separate WC.

A central dining room connects to a spacious lounge with comfortable sofas and a bow-window coffee table nook. A gas fire adds warmth in cooler months. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, fridge-freezer and microwave, and a washing machine handles laundry. A TV and CD player are also provided; note that the garage is not available to guests.

Outside, a tiered area with steps sits at the front, while a sunny rear decking with seating slopes down to an enclosed lawn garden, making it a practical spot for outdoor meals. Private parking is available for one car, with on-road spaces nearby; the driveway has a narrow entrance worth bearing in mind. A shop is around 400 metres away, with the pub and beach approximately one mile distant.

Several unlevel steps and pathways run throughout the property and outside spaces, so this is worth considering when travelling with young children or anyone with limited mobility. No dogs are permitted, and guests should bring their own beach towels. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 09:00.
