Driftwood

Driftwood is a new-build house within a gated development in the heart of Dawlish, a short walk from the town's beaches and shops. Two king-size bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms and Smart TVs, sleep 4 in total. One en-suite has a bath, hand-held shower and a separate walk-in shower; the other has a walk-in shower only. A separate cloakroom serves the ground floor.

The open-plan living space combines the kitchen, dining area and sitting area, with a feature fireplace, a Smart TV and Velux windows that let in plenty of natural light. A first-floor snug off the stairway gives a quieter spot to sit. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, a second fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and an instant hot water tap.

Central heating runs through the house, with underfloor heating in the en-suite bathrooms, and WiFi covers every room. Outside, the rear decking is enclosed and furnished, a good spot for morning coffee or an evening drink. Designated parking covers 1 car plus a visitor space, though the property cannot take vans or commercial vehicles.

The private beach access at Shell Cove is currently closed while Network Rail carries out works to the cliff face nearby, though this cannot be seen or heard from the property. Driftwood does not accept pets, and smoking is not permitted anywhere inside. The property does not accept worker or commercial bookings. The village shop is 0.8 miles away, with the pub 0.2 miles and the beach 0.4 miles.
