Dove Cottage - Uplyme

Dove Cottage sits attached to the owners' home in Uplyme, near the Devon/Dorset border, reached via a shared path leading to a private entrance. This single-storey property sleeps two guests in one king-size bedroom, making it suited to couples seeking a compact base for exploring the surrounding countryside and the nearby coast.

Inside, an open-plan lounge/diner provides space to relax with a smart TV, alongside a dining table for meals. The galley kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with ice compartment and a washer/dryer, plus a Nescafe Dulce Gusto Piccolo coffee machine. A compact shower room with shower and WC completes the internal layout, reached via an inner hallway from the bedroom.

Outside, doors from the lounge lead to an enclosed terrace furnished for sitting out. The owners' koi pond lies just opposite and is unenclosed, so care is needed with children and dogs nearby. Off-road parking is provided for one car to the front of the property, and wifi is included throughout the stay.

Two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. A travel cot and highchair are available on request, useful for visiting families even though the property sleeps two adults. A shop and pub are within a mile, and the beach lies around two miles away, making Dove Cottage a practical choice for a quiet stay near Lyme Regis.
