Dolphins

Dolphins stands on the south side of the Combe Valley, within walking distance of Sharpitor and about 200 yards from the sandy beach at South Sands, a short drive from Salcombe itself. The open-plan kitchen has a breakfast bar and stools, and the dining area has an extending oak table seating eight, with wonderful estuary views through a large sliding door onto the terrace.

Four bedrooms sleep 8. Three are set up as twins, each with two 3-foot single beds, and two of these have their own en-suite shower rooms; the fourth bedroom has a double bed. Two further family bathrooms serve the rest of the house, along with a separate utility room housing the fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.

The living area has two sofas and a window seat looking out over the estuary and beyond to the sea. Outside, a large terrace with furniture for eight sits alongside over an acre of private grounds, and off-road parking is provided on a private drive for up to four cars. Steep steps lead up to the property from the parking area, children should be supervised in the garden, which slopes, and the approach road is a narrow country lane.

Oil central heating covers the house, and the kitchen has an oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and a Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine, with a TV, iPod dock and radio in the lounge. Wifi is available throughout, and no pets are permitted. The property is strictly no smoking.
