16 Courtenay Street

16 Courtenay Street is a refurbished end-of-terrace Victorian house in the heart of Salcombe, a minute's walk from the shops, the local park and the waterfront, where passenger ferries cross to East Portlemouth and South Sands. The accommodation runs over three floors, with decking and a terraced area at the rear.

The open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room has a double electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, an American-style fridge/freezer and a large glass dining table seating eight. Two sofas, a widescreen TV and a feature fireplace with an electric stove fill the sitting area, next to a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Of the four bedrooms, one king-size room on the first floor has an en-suite shower room and a door onto the decked terrace, with a second king-size room on the same level. The second floor holds two twin rooms, served by a family bathroom and a separate shower room. A travel cot and highchair are available, and the property is baby-friendly.

Steps from the side passage lead up to the lower decked terrace, then on to a paved area with garden furniture, a chiminea and a Weber barbecue. One parking permit is provided for the long-stay car park; the street itself is residents' parking only, so unloading is fine but you cannot leave a car there. No stag, hen or similar parties are accepted, and the house is strictly no smoking.
