Crabapple Appledore

This cottage sits on one of the narrow streets of Appledore, with a first-floor bedroom looking out over the water towards Instow. It sleeps up to four across three bedrooms, making it a suitable choice for a small family or couples travelling together rather than a larger group.

The ground floor holds a lounge with a wood burner (a first basket of logs is included) plus a Smart TV and Blu-ray player, leading through to a kitchen/diner fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine. The family bathroom, with shower over bath and WC, also sits on this floor. Upstairs are the three bedrooms: a king-size room with the river outlook, and two singles, one with a trundle bed that opens onto the garden.

Outside, an enclosed rear garden offers space for al fresco dining with garden furniture and a BBQ. Because of the cottage's raised position, twenty shallow steps lead down from the street to the front door, so this is worth bearing in mind for anyone with mobility concerns or heavy luggage.

Parking is on the roadside a short walk away and is not guaranteed, though a pay-and-display car park is also nearby. Wi-Fi is included, and a travel cot, highchair and stairgate are provided for younger children. Two dogs are welcome, with additional charges applying. Beach, pubs, shops and restaurants are all within walking distance of the front door.
