Cottage on the Green - Dartmouth

This cottage sits a few miles from Dartmouth and sleeps up to six people across three bedrooms. Ground-floor living space opens straight into an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, with a wood burner (first basket of logs included) and a Smart TV forming the centre of the sitting area. Underfloor heating runs through this level, and patio doors lead out to the garden for meals outdoors.

Upstairs, two king-size zip-and-link bedrooms on the first floor can be made up as twins on request, each with an en-suite shower room and television; one has its own furnished balcony overlooking the garden. A third king-size bedroom on the second floor completes the sleeping arrangements, again with an en-suite shower room, TV and balcony. All three bathrooms are shower rooms with WCs rather than bathtubs.

Outside is an enclosed, split-level garden with a furnished patio and a summer house, facing southwest for evening light. Guests have free use of a shared on-site swimming pool with shower and changing facilities, along with a sauna, steam room, hot tub and gym; a separate spa offers treatments by advance booking, and pool or beach towels can be hired there since guests are asked to bring their own. Two golf courses nearby offer reduced green fees for guests, also best booked ahead, and there is a tennis court on-site.

Practical points to note: parking is private and off-street for two cars, and the kitchen includes a dishwasher, washing machine and microwave alongside the usual oven and fridge/freezer. A travel cot and highchair are available for younger visitors. Two dogs are welcome, though they should be kept on the lead while on-site, and additional charges may apply. The property draws on a private water supply.
