Clovelly Lakes Goldfinch Lodge Eleven

Goldfinch Lodge Eleven sits in a private corner set back from the lakes at a small development near Higher Clovelly, close to Bideford and the North Devon coast. The lodge sleeps two people in a single double bedroom, making it suited to couples rather than groups or families needing multiple rooms.

Inside, an open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner forms the main living space, with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and a dishwasher in the kitchen. The lounge has a Smart TV and DVD player, and the double bedroom leads through to an en-suite shower room. Heating is provided by electric heaters rather than a fire or stove.

A raised private balcony is reached via three steps or a ramp, giving space for outdoor dining, and steps lead down to a lawn area with a brick-built charcoal barbecue. The lake itself is close to the lodge, and complimentary family-friendly fishing is available across the five lakes on site, alongside new duck nests and a kingfisher bank for nesting birds.

Practical amenities include ample off-road parking on site, an on-site laundry room, and Starlink satellite Wi-Fi. Shared EV charging at 7kW is available at reception, though this carries an additional cost payable directly to the owner. A cot and highchair can be provided on request, and up to two dogs are welcome, with additional charges likely to apply. The beach, a gastro pub and a village shop are each within a couple of miles. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 10am.
