Clarendon House

Clarendon House is a first-floor apartment in the seaside town of Dawlish, close to the town green and the beach. It sleeps 6 across two en-suite bedrooms, making it suited to couples or a family, though the property does not accept children under 6 years old.

The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking, and the dining table in the dining room extends to seat 6, set beside a sitting room with a bay window and plush seating in front of the TV. A light-filled day room holds a day bed with a trundle underneath, suited to an older child, plus a balcony where you can sit out with a morning coffee. There are two steps down into the kitchen and three steps up to the sitting room, worth noting if anyone in your party has limited mobility.

Both bedrooms are en-suite: a double with a wet room shower, basin and WC, and a twin with its own walk-in shower, basin and WC. Gas central heating runs throughout the apartment, the kitchen has a gas oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, and the sitting room has a TV and WiFi, with fuel and power included in the rent.

No pets are allowed and the apartment is strictly no smoking. Roadside parking is available nearby, and the shop and pub are around 0.1 miles away, with the beach about 0.2 miles and the train station a short walk. The day room's veranda balcony sits in a conservation-area building where barrier heights vary, so children should be supervised there at all times.
