Captains Lodge

Captains Lodge is a single-storey house at Weeke Hill, about 1.4 miles from Dartmouth. It sleeps 8 across four bedrooms: two super-king-size rooms, a twin that can be made up as a zip/link king-size on request, and a further twin room with two single beds. A bathroom with a bath and shower and a separate wet room with a walk-in shower cover the house, along with a cloakroom off the hall.

The open-plan living space brings together the kitchen, dining and sitting areas around a woodburning stove, with a utility room for the washer/dryer next door. The kitchen has an electric double oven and hob, a microwave, an American-style fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a coffee maker, and a cot is available for younger guests.

Designated gravelled driveway parking is provided for 2 cars. The rear garden is enclosed, with decking, furniture and a barbecue for meals outside, and air source heat pumps keep the house warm, with fuel and power included in the rent.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. The shop is around 1.1 miles away, the pub about 1 mile and the beach 0.9 miles, and with no stairs inside, Captains Lodge works well for a family or a group of friends based just outside Dartmouth.
