Cairn Cottage

Cairn Cottage sits on a steep hill above Dartmouth, a riverside town on the South Devon coast, and sleeps six across three bedrooms. The property is arranged over three floors, with a roomy hallway leading into a lounge/diner warmed by a wood burner set in a stone fireplace, plus a galley kitchen equipped for everyday cooking.

On the ground floor there is a bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC, along with an additional cloakroom WC. The first floor holds the light and spacious master bedroom with a king-size bed and good storage. A narrow staircase leads to the top floor, where a double and a twin room sit under low pitched ceilings with views over the town and river; this layout and the steep approach from town may not suit guests with restricted mobility.

Outside, a decking area with a glass balcony and large sofa seating makes the most of panoramic views over the river, harbour and town, while a second terrace and garden area offer space for al fresco dining with a BBQ and pizza oven provided. A travel cot is available for younger guests, and the washing machine and Freeview TV with DVD and CD player add practical comfort for longer stays.

Parking is available on the street directly outside on Crowthers Hill, with further options nearby at Jowbones Hill, and a shop and pub sit around 250 metres away. Up to two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. Wood for the burner can be bought locally, and internet access is provided throughout the stay.
