Butterdon Barn

Butterdon Barn is a detached, two-bedroom barn conversion in the Devon countryside near Moretonhampstead, with views towards Dartmoor. It sleeps 4 across two upstairs bedrooms, snugly set under the eaves, a super king-size double that converts to a twin and a twin that converts to a super king-size double, each with its own en-suite bathroom or shower room.

Downstairs is an open-plan living space with a wood burning stove, a dining area and a well-equipped kitchen. A microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with DVD and WiFi cover everyday needs, though the WiFi can run slowly given the rural setting. Central heating backs up the stove, with fuel and power included in the rent.

Outside, a south-west-facing patio and a fully enclosed lawn garden have a picnic table, a barbecue and a private hot tub. Off-road parking is provided for four cars, and a travel cot is available for younger guests. Moretonhampstead itself has shops, pubs and an outdoor pool, and Exeter is around 13 miles away for a wider choice of amenities.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and smoking is not permitted. A returnable bond applies, and the property draws its own water from a private supply that's tested regularly.
