Avocet

Set on the second floor of a small holiday development in Kingsteignton, a town at the head of the Teign Estuary, Avocet sleeps 4 across two bedrooms. As with the other apartments on site, guests use their own external entrance and a dedicated reception to collect keys.

An open-plan living space forms the heart of the apartment, with a sitting area, dining table and kitchen sharing one room. The kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster, ready for cooking after a day exploring.

The super-king-size bedroom, which can be made up as twins instead, has its own TV and a sleek en-suite bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, basin and WC. The twin bedroom, also convertible to a super-king, has a further TV, and a second bathroom serves it. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. The development's shared leisure club, restaurant, gym, sauna and swimming pool are closed for maintenance until January 2027.

Off-road parking is provided for guests, and Avocet welcomes one well-behaved pet for an extra charge payable on arrival. A minimum stay of two nights applies, and the property is entirely no smoking. A shop sits around 0.6 miles away, the nearest pub about 0.7 miles, and Newton Abbot is roughly 1.9 miles by road.
