Amil Cottage

This fishermen's cottage sits in an elevated spot in Kingswear, with the living room and dining area arranged as one open-plan space overlooking the river. A smart TV and sofas make it a comfortable base after a day out, and the dining table seats the full party of four. A compact kitchen sits to the rear, along with a separate downstairs WC.

Upstairs, an open tread staircase leads to the first floor, where the master bedroom has a double bed and river views, and a second bedroom offers a double with a single bed over, suitable for children only. The one shower room on this level has a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. A third double bedroom occupies the second floor, reached via a further flight of steep stairs.

Outside, a patio and garden area provide outdoor seating with views across the water, on what is known locally as the sunny side of the Dart. Guests should note that the cottage is approached by 53 steps, and combined with the internal stairs, this makes it unsuitable for young children or anyone with mobility restrictions.

The property sleeps four, with one dog accepted (additional charges may apply). Parking is on-street nearby rather than private, and internet access is provided. A shop and pub are within half a mile. Towels are included, and washing machine is provided in the kitchen for guests' use.
