5 Burgh Island Causeway

5 Burgh Island Causeway is a ground-floor apartment in Bigbury-on-Sea, close to Challaborough, with views south and west across the causeway toward Burgh Island. Sliding glazed doors lead from the open-plan living area onto a large enclosed private terrace with sun loungers and a Ninja electric barbecue.

The apartment sleeps 6 across two en-suite bedrooms, a king-size double with a bath and shower over and a twin with a shower room, plus a double sofa bed in the living area. The open-plan kitchen and dining space has an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, washer-dryer and dishwasher, with a Smart TV, DVD player, WiFi, Sky and a PlayStation for evenings in.

A lift serves the building, though there are around 12 steps down from the car park to the front door. Guests share the leisure centre's indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and gym, plus an on-site restaurant and bar open through the day in high season. Off-road parking covers one car, or two parked nose to tail.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and a cot and highchair are available on request. A pub across the beach causeway is under a mile away, and a complimentary cream tea can be arranged. Check-in is from 4pm, and children under 14 are not permitted in the gym or sauna.
