44 Above Town

44 Above Town takes its name from the steep, narrow lane leading up from central Dartmouth, reached by steps and a sloping path that may not suit guests with limited mobility. The reverse-level layout puts both bedrooms on the ground floor, each with its own en-suite shower room, and the living space upstairs on the first floor.

The first-floor open-plan space holds the kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with a Juliet balcony, where bi-fold doors open onto views across the river to Kingswear, Dartmouth Castle and the sea beyond. The house sleeps 6 across a double bedroom and a family room with a king-size bed and a bunk, both freshly renovated.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washer/dryer and a coffee machine, and a Smart TV with WiFi covers the living space. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. A front garden has a terrace and outdoor furniture for meals outside, though the rear terraced garden is currently not available to guests.

There is no parking at 44 Above Town, though on-street parking can be found in the town centre, subject to restrictions. The shop and pub are 0.1 miles away and the beach around a mile. Pets are not permitted, and smoking is not allowed inside.
