36 The Salcombe is a third-floor studio apartment in Salcombe, refurbished over the winter of 2021, with a balcony overlooking the Salcombe estuary. It is reached by lift and has exclusive use, shared with other residents of the building, of a private outdoor heated swimming pool, open from late May to late September, along with the communal gardens.

The open-plan living space has a bespoke hand-built kitchen at one end, fitted with Miele and Neff appliances including a combi microwave oven with extractor fan, an induction hob and a fridge. The living area at the other end has a pull-down double wall bed for two, with double French doors leading out to the balcony. A shower room with an electric shower completes the apartment, handy for rinsing off after a day on the sand.

There is a communal laundry elsewhere in the building for guests' use, and an allocated parking space is provided in the secure car park for one car only. A boat mooring on the pontoon, accommodating a boat up to 15ft, is accessed from the gardens, though electric car charging is not available or permitted on site.

The building is strictly no smoking, and no pets are permitted. All bed linen and towels are provided. WiFi covers the living area, and large pick-up trucks will not fit in the car park spaces, worth knowing before you book if that's your vehicle.
