35 The Salcombe

35 The Salcombe sits on the waterfront in the heart of Salcombe, a third-floor flat reached by lift with views over the main anchorage. It is for two adults only, with no children, and the bedroom has a pulldown double bed in its own room, with the bathroom fitted with a walk-in shower, basin, w.c. and heated towel rail.

The kitchenette has a breakfast bar and a table and chairs for four, useful for casual dining, with an electric cooker, hob, microwave and fridge, and there is a communal laundry elsewhere in the building for guests to use. The lounge has a Freesat TV, and French doors open onto a balcony looking over the gardens, the outdoor pool, the Salcombe estuary and the sandy beaches at East Portlemouth.

Residents share exclusive use of the private outdoor heated swimming pool, normally open from late May to late September, subject to change. An allocated parking space is provided in the secure car park for one car only, and there is exclusive mooring on the pontoon for boats up to 5m long and 2m in beam, accessed from the gardens. Large pick-up trucks will not fit in the car park spaces.

The building is strictly no smoking, and no pets are permitted. All bed linen and towels are provided, though guests need to bring their own tea towels. Communal WiFi covers the building, and electric car charging is not available or permitted on site, so plan charging elsewhere if you are driving an EV.
