Newton Tracey

Georgian character in the Newton Tracey countryside

Newton Tracey is a village in North Devon, set apart from the town of Barnstaple. Newton Cross House occupies a Georgian manor here, with a practical porch leading into a statement hallway and a choice of ground-floor living spaces. The main living room, an open-plan snug and dining area, sash windows and original French doors sit alongside a wood burner, while a renovated kitchen features a Lacanche range cooker and a hardwood table seating eight.

Upstairs, four individually styled bedrooms are arranged across two floors, three with king-size beds and one double, served by two bathrooms, one with a free-standing bath and walk-in shower, the other a shower room. A utility room provides laundry facilities. Outside, a private driveway offers parking for four cars, and a large front lawn suits children and dogs. Beyond this, an outdoor entertaining area includes a simple outdoor kitchen, picnic bench, sun loungers and a day bed, with a private hot tub overlooking an unfenced pond. Up to three dogs are welcome, with additional charges applying.
