Yew Tree Cottage

Yew Tree Cottage is a 200-year-old stone-fronted property in the village of Stoke Fleming, with a low, narrow door into the dining room and steep stairs up to the first floor, complete with a stairgate at the top. A wood burner warms the sitting room downstairs, and roadside parking is available around 50 metres from the door.

Both bedrooms hold a double bed, with one only reachable from one side, and share a bathroom with a bath and shower over. A first-floor snug opens off one of the bedrooms, furnished with a sofa, an armchair and bean bags, and gets plenty of natural light with views towards Starpoint on a clear day. A pull-out bed can be added on request for a fifth guest.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine, and a dining room seats the group for meals in. Oil-fired central heating covers the cottage, with fuel and power included in the rent, and a TV and WiFi cover evenings in. The courtyard outside is for access only, so any dog needs supervising there.

One small, well-behaved dog is welcome at Yew Tree Cottage. The village shop is 0.2 miles away and a pub 0.1 miles, and there is no smoking inside. Anyone in the group who struggles with steep stairs should plan around the first-floor bedrooms and snug.
