Woodlands

Woodlands is a three-storey Georgian house set above Dartmouth creek, a short walk from Dartmouth's waterfront, shops and restaurants. The house sleeps 13 across six bedrooms and five bathrooms, spread over three floors, with two sitting rooms and a dining room each warmed by a wood burning stove. A terrace runs along the front of the house, a spot for barbecues while looking over the water.

Four bedrooms sit on the first floor: a super king-size room with a walk-through wardrobe and en-suite bathroom with a roll-top bath, a king-size room with an en-suite shower room, and a king-size and twin room linked by an interconnecting door, plus a family bathroom with a bath. Two more bedrooms are on the second floor, including a super king-size room that converts to twin beds and has a day bed for extra capacity when the house is booked to full occupancy, alongside a second twin room and a further bathroom. A children's games and sitting room is also on this floor.

The kitchen and utility room are fitted with a fridge, freezer, microwave, tumble dryer, washing machine and dishwasher, and the dining room seats the whole group beside its own wood burning stove. Central heating, fuel and power are included in the rent, and a Smart TV with WiFi covers evenings in. Two travel cots and highchairs are available on request for younger guests.

Woodlands takes two well-behaved dogs, and off-road parking is provided for four cars, with an EV charging point on site (the housekeeper supplies the access code). The drive and parking area are steep, and the garden below the veranda runs alongside an unfenced stream, so children need supervising outdoors. A pub is under a mile away, and the nearest beaches for paddling are about a 15-minute walk. Smoking and fireworks are not permitted.
