Waders Cottage

Waders Cottage is a compact one-bedroom retreat in Appledore, sleeping two adults, with no babies, children or dogs accepted. The ground floor opens into an open-plan lounge and dining room with solid oak flooring, a wall of bookshelves and a wood burner for cooler evenings. A Smart TV and DVD player sit in the sitting room, and a further non-Smart flat-screen TV is wall-mounted in the bedroom upstairs.

The kitchen is well fitted with a gas range oven and hood, integrated microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, plus a standalone stainless steel fridge-freezer and quartz worktops. Double doors from the kitchen lead out to a small enclosed courtyard with decking and outdoor seating, giving a private spot to sit outside after a day spent exploring.

The double bedroom on the first floor has oak flooring and its own wall-mounted TV. Alongside it sits the shower room with WC, which benefits from underfloor heating. Parking is available close by, worth factoring in when arriving with luggage.

Quayside pubs, seafood cafes and independent shops are within walking distance, and a local beach is reachable on foot. A foot ferry crosses the estuary to the sandy beach at Instow, while Westward Ho! with its longer sandy stretch lies around a mile away. The market town of Bideford is also easily reached for wider shopping and services.
