Valley View Shepherd's Hut

Valley View Shepherd's Hut is a single-storey retreat near South Molton, built as one open studio space for two. Steps lead up to the hut and to the bed itself, worth knowing before you book, and there is no WiFi at this property.

The double bed sits at the centre of the studio, with a kitchenette alongside fitted with an induction hob, oven, fridge with icebox, kettle and toaster for simple self-catering. A dining area and a sitting area built around a woodburning stove complete the space, and a shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC finishes the accommodation.

Outside, the garden has furniture, a barbecue, a fire pit and a jacuzzi bath looking out over the surrounding countryside. The designated parking area is a short walk from the hut down a path, though a trolley is provided to help carry belongings down.

Off-road parking is provided for one car. No pets are allowed and smoking is not permitted. The shop and pub are about 2.3 miles away, and electric central heating, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent, alongside a good housekeeping bond.

Nearby South Molton has a pannier market, held twice weekly, and a run of independent shops selling local produce and crafts. Barnstaple is within driving distance for riverside walks along the River Taw and sections of the Tarka Trail, and Lynton and Lynmouth offer the historic Cliff Railway and the Valley of Rocks.
