Daisy Shepherd's Hut

Daisy Shepherd's Hut is a single-storey hut set in the countryside near South Molton, one of a small collection of huts on the same land. It has no WiFi, so it suits a couple happy to switch off for a night or two, with their dog if they choose to bring one.

The studio-style living space holds a double bed, a kitchenette, a dining area and a sitting area, and a shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC completes the layout. The kitchenette has an induction hob, an air fryer and toaster oven, a fridge with an icebox, a kettle and a toaster, and a TV covers evenings in. Electric central heating keeps the hut warm, with fuel, power, bed linen and towels included in the rent.

Outside, the garden has a picnic bench, a barbecue and a wood-fired hot tub for evenings under the sky. Off-road parking is provided for one car, though the hut sits a short distance down a path from the parking area; a trolley is available to help carry belongings down, and there are steps up to the hut itself, so it's worth planning for.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome at Daisy Shepherd's Hut for an extra charge, and smoking isn't permitted. The shop and pub are 2.3 miles away. South Molton's Pannier Market, Barnstaple's riverside walks and the Tarka Trail, and the dramatic Valley of Rocks near Lynton, are all within reach for day trips from the hut.
