Single-storey South Molton lodge with a jacuzzi bath on the decking

Robins Nest Lodge is a single-storey retreat near South Molton, with an open-plan living space built around a woodburning stove and a decked area with a jacuzzi bath outside. The layout suits couples looking for a quiet countryside stay, and children are not permitted at this property.

The king-size bedroom has an en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC, opening onto the open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting space. Cooking is easy with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster, and a Smart TV and WiFi are on hand for evenings in. Fuel, power and a woodburner starter pack are included in the rent.

Step outside onto the decking to make use of the jacuzzi bath and outdoor seating, looking out over the surrounding countryside. An additional sofa bed sleeping up to two guests can be added in the living space for a further charge.

Off-road parking is provided for one car. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome for an extra charge per dog, and smoking is not permitted. The shop and pub are about 2.3 miles from the lodge, and electric central heating, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent, alongside a good housekeeping bond.

Nearby South Molton has a pannier market, held twice weekly, and a run of independent shops along East Street. Exmoor National Park is within driving distance for moorland walks and views from Dunkery Beacon, and Barnstaple offers the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon along with riverside walks by the River Taw.
