Hares Hideaway Shepherd's Hut

Hares Hideaway Shepherd's Hut is a single-storey retreat near South Molton, arranged as one studio space for two. Steps lead up to the hut, so it suits guests comfortable with a short climb.

The double bed anchors the studio, next to a kitchenette with an induction hob, combination microwave/oven, fridge with icebox, kettle and toaster. A dining area and a sitting area centred on a woodburning stove complete the interior, along with a shower room fitted with a walk-in shower, basin and WC.

Outside, the garden holds a picnic bench, a swing bench, a barbecue, a fire pit and a jacuzzi bath for soaking under open skies. The designated parking spot sits a short walk from the hut along a path, with a trolley available to help carry luggage down.

Off-road parking is provided for one car, and a TV and WiFi are included. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome for an extra charge per dog, and smoking is not permitted. The shop and pub are about 2.3 miles away, and electric central heating, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent, alongside a good housekeeping bond.

Nearby South Molton has a pannier market, held twice weekly, and a run of independent shops selling local produce and crafts. Barnstaple is within driving distance for riverside walks along the River Taw and a look round Barnstaple Museum, and Lynton and Lynmouth offer the historic Cliff Railway and the Valley of Rocks.
