Upper School House

Upper School House occupies the first floor of a Victorian school building in Ashburton, on the southern slopes of Dartmoor. It is reached via a private driveway through a sliding wrought iron gate, and combines period features with a loft-style layout, sleeping 4 across two en-suite bedrooms.

The open-plan living space holds a kitchen, dining area and sitting area, and two super-king-size bedrooms sit off it: one with an en-suite bath and shower over, the other with a separate en-suite shower room, plus a cloakroom with basin and WC. Underfloor heating with mechanical ventilation covers the apartment year-round.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, kettle and toaster, and a Smart TV and WiFi are provided. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent, and a travel cot and highchair are available.

Roadside parking is available, with a pay-and-display public car park about 50 yards away. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, with a village green and play park opposite the building for exercising them. Smoking is not permitted. Ashburton's shops, cafes and the Exeter Inn are all within walking distance, and Dartmoor National Park lies just outside the town.
