Old Armoury Barn

Old Armoury Barn is a converted barn in a courtyard near the centre of Ashburton, on the southern edge of Dartmoor National Park. It's a reverse-level property: the open-plan living space is upstairs and both bedrooms are on the ground floor, sleeping 4 across a king-size room and a twin room.

The king-size bedroom has an en-suite with a shower over the bath, basin and WC, and a separate ground-floor shower room with shower, basin and WC serves the twin room, so each bedroom has bathroom facilities close by. Upstairs, the open-plan living area has hardwood floors, exposed roof trusses, a woodburning stove and a Smart TV, along with a kitchen and an oak dining table that seats 4.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher, and there's a TV with Freeview, DVD player and WiFi. Electric heating and the woodburning stove cover the barn, with fuel, power, bed linen and towels included in the rent. A cot and highchair are available on request.

Outside is a courtyard garden and a south-facing patio with planters and furniture, a spot for morning coffee or an evening meal. Off-road parking is provided for one car, with room for a second small car by arrangement. The lane in is narrow, 2150mm at its tightest point, worth checking against a larger vehicle. No pets are allowed and the property is no smoking; the shop and pub are a 2-minute walk away.
