Tuckermarsh Quay River Cottage 2 sits on the banks of the River Tamar, 1.5 miles from Bere Alston, one of three river cottages built by miners and dating from the 1800s. A private wooden deck and floating jetty give access to the water for canoeing at all tides, and the garden looks out across the river towards the Cornish bank opposite.

The cottage is arranged over three floors. A second-floor double bedroom with an en-suite shower has a wide view over the river, a single room on a lower level shares the same outlook, and a third single bedroom overlooks the garden and woodland. One bathroom serves all three bedrooms.

Electric storage heaters and a woodburning stove in the sitting room keep the cottage warm, with fuel, power and a starter pack included in the rent. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a fridge/freezer, plus a washing machine, a dishwasher and a TV with FreeSat. There is no WiFi.

Off-road parking is provided for 1 car. Pets are not allowed and the cottage is no smoking throughout. The lane in is a single-track country road with passing places, not suitable for camper vans, motorhomes or large vehicles, so plan your route with this in mind. A shop and pub are 1.5 miles away in Bere Alston.
