Camellia Cottage In The Tamar Valley

On the edge of the River Tamar near Bere Alston, this single-storey cottage accommodates up to 4 guests, including any infant, across two bedrooms. The double has an en-suite wet-room shower and WC, while the twin is a zip-and-link bed convertible to super king-size on request, with an en-suite bathroom featuring a hand-held shower over bath and WC. From the entrance, an open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner provides the main living space, equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine.

Two outdoor areas are available: a south-facing decked space at the front with garden furniture and a rear lawn with patio seating. A charcoal BBQ is on hand for summer evenings. The shared indoor heated pool sits 50 yards from the property and holds a maximum of 8 guests; it opens from 20 March to end of September, daily 9am to 6pm, with an additional evening session on Wednesdays from 5pm to 9pm. Free daily time slots can be reserved with the owners. The pool area includes a shower, WC and massage room where Swedish massage is bookable direct with the owners.

Off-road undercover parking fits 2 cars. Wi-Fi, central heating and bed linen are included; bring your own pool towels. A petanque pitch and bike racks are on site, with hard standing available for boats. Gravel areas surround the property and pool access involves steps, making the cottage less suitable for wheelchair users. No dogs are permitted. Shops and pubs are 2 miles away and the beach is 13 miles distant. Arrival from 15:00, departure before 10:00.
