The Stick House

This converted barn near Chittlehampton accommodates four guests across two bedrooms. The ground floor contains a super-king-size bed (convertible to twin on request) with French doors onto the enclosed rear garden, plus a wet room with bath, separate shower and WC. Upstairs, an open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner leads to a mezzanine bedroom with king-size bed and separate WC. The lounge has a wood burner, smart TV and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking countryside.

The kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and microwave. A utility cupboard holds a washing machine and tumble dryer. Electricity, heating and Wi-Fi are included. Two dogs are welcome; additional charges may apply. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

The enclosed garden wraps around the property with a private hot tub in a converted outbuilding, lawn and decked seating area. Off-road parking accommodates two cars. Shops and pubs lie two miles away. Woolacombe and Croyde beaches are 19 miles distant, popular for surfing and swimming. The Tarka Trail provides walking and cycling, while Exmoor National Park extends just beyond the property.

South Molton and Barnstaple both offer pannier markets and local amenities. RHS Rosemoor Gardens and Dartington Crystal are within reach as day trips. The property sits on the edge of Exmoor National Park, affording countryside views with deer and stags often visible from the garden.
