Lower Cobbaton The Barn

This thatched cottage sits in open countryside two miles from Chittlehampton, where a pub and village shop are within reach for provisions or an evening out. Barnstaple, around five miles away, has a wider range of shops along with a theatre and cinema, while Exmoor National Park and several north Devon beaches are reachable by car for those wanting a day out walking or on the sand.

The ground floor holds a twin bedroom with a Smart TV, served by a shower room with WC. Upstairs, a double bedroom has some reduced head-height due to sloping ceilings and its own TV, alongside a separate bathroom with a bath and WC. The first-floor lounge has comfortable sofa seating, a Smart TV, and a balcony opening onto countryside views. The kitchen/diner downstairs has a beamed ceiling, dining table for four, oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and a TV, with a separate utility room housing the washing machine and tumble dryer.

Outside there is an enclosed lawned garden with mature trees, flowered borders, garden furniture and a barbecue, plus access to a neighbouring field. Off-road parking is available on site, and internet access is provided for guests who need to stay connected during their stay.

A travel cot and highchair are available for families travelling with young children. Up to four dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply, and guests should note the arrival time of 15:30 and departure by 10:00.
