The Owl Barn Lower Langaton Farm

This inverse-level barn conversion sits on a working farm in Chittlehampton, near South Molton, and sleeps up to four guests. The open-plan upper level brings together lounge, kitchen and dining space beneath beamed ceilings. Large wooden beams house an owl box where barn owls have nested in previous years, though nesting cannot be guaranteed. The kitchen is well equipped with a range-style electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier, and a Smart TV is on hand in the lounge.

Downstairs from the main living area are two bedrooms. The first has a super-king bed with en-suite shower room and WC. The second has a super-king zip-and-link bed, convertible to twin on request, with an en-suite that includes both a bath and a separate shower, plus WC. Travel cot and highchair are available for families.

A raised decked balcony off the lounge holds garden furniture and looks across open countryside toward Exmoor. The private hot tub is positioned here, and steps lead down to an enclosed gated garden below. A private dog exercise field is a short walk from the barn, and an outside hose is available for muddy paws. Dogs must be kept on a lead anywhere outside the property perimeter because of livestock in the surrounding fields.

Private parking accommodates up to three cars, and an EV charger is available on site, payable directly to the owner. The nearest pub and shop are 1.5 miles away. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
